Scent Description: Stave churches are among the oldest surviving wooden structures in the world - Romanesque in origin, yet so severe and angular they seem to belong to something far older. Something that precedes naming.

This is the scent of that silence. Rosewood and cedar from centuries of timber. Worn leather and aged paper from the books and hands that passed through. The particular stillness of a place where people have been coming, for a very long time, to think.

Fantøft Stave Church, near Bergen, was built in 1150. Relocated once, tragically burned in 1992 and rebuilt shortly after.  

Candle Details: Clean burning natural coco apricot crème wax • flat braid cotton core wick • paraben and phthalate-free fragrance oils • matte black glass jar • 10 ounces (283 g) • roughly 40-hour burn time • candle care instructions included

How to best care for your candle

• Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each burn.
• Keep the candle away from drafts, flammable materials, and children or pets.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended and never burn it for more than 4 hours at a time.
• Always place candles on a heat-resistant surface.
• Extinguish the candle completely before leaving the room.
• Stop burning when there's about 1/2 inch of wax left.
